{Loosmore Family | Gladstone Family Photography}

{Together}

A few weekends ago, the weather was looking a little dodgy, but I was so pleased when the sun came out and the rain that was threatened never eventuated because I would have had to post-pone this wonderful family session!

Melanie and Dean have three gorgeous kids, Preston, Nyah and Kingston. Not long after getting to the beach Preston exclaimed to me that “I just LOVE family portrait sessions!” Mum Mel knew a beach session would do the trick as the kids love the beach, so it probably felt much more like a play date then a photo session!

These three gorgeous kids were wonderful to work with. Thank you Mel and Dean for an amazing afternoon!

{A Love Story | Brad & Keeana}

{A love story | Brad & Keeana}

Tomorrow is a big day for Keeana Demidov and Brad Kruger. It is the day they will marry. The 20 year old couple have been together since they were in year 8 at Gladstone State High. Brad asked Keeana out on March 27th 2005. They will marry tomorrow 7 years on.

Keeana and Brad’s love is different to any love I have ever seen before. Couples usually begin a life together, ready to take on what ever life wants to throw at them. The difference with Brad and Keeana is life has already thrown so much their way and through such hard times these two have only let their love grow stronger.

Keeana was diagnosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma on 11th April 2008. She underwent several treatments including Chemo and a Stem Cell transplant. After these treatments Keeana was in remission and had a new lease on life. After 18 months of being in remission, Keeana found that she had relapsed and in October 2010 she had a donor transplant. The donor transplant also failed her. Keeana then tried another drug to help get rid of her tumours, and this attempt led her into anaphylactic shock, where she almost lost her life. Brad was by her side and this one of the things Keeana talks about as being a positive for her during a time that can only be described as difficult.

After this major setback, Keeana was sent home. Brad, at that time, was only 6 months away for completing his apprenticeship. He gave it up to become Keeana’s full time carer. 3 months on and Keeana prepared to undergo some radiation in an attempt to further get rid of her tumours. This effort also failed. Keeana spoke of the moment she was sent home, with the news there was nothing more to do. Being faced with the reality that they had fought hard, but there no more medical treatments for Keeana to try was a devastating moment for Brad and Keeana. Although Keeana has only been given months from Doctors, Brad is constantly searching and trying natural therapies and remedies to try and keep Keeana with him, where she should be.

Keeana says the positives she has experienced include her closeness to Brad and her Dad. She is also constantly amazed at the kindness people have shown her with their love and thoughts for both her and Brad. Keeana is also helping people who have also found themselves fighting the same fight. She found joy offering support and advice to those who are going through the same thing. Living with the disease and trying all the treatments, Keeana is an expert on living and fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and nothing has made her happier than being able to offer support to people.

Listening to Brad express his positive thoughts for his fianc

{Kayla & Luke | QLD wedding photography | Agnes Water / 1770}

{L.O.V.E.}

Kayla and Luke first met in Noosa. Luke was the butcher and Kayla was the beauty therapist, so naturally, they fell in love

While the guests list was kept to the closest of friends and family, Kayla and Luke made their wedding day big in so many ways. Kayla looked stunning in her Anna Campbell gown complimented by a floor length veil and her lillybuds button bouquet (which may just be the cutest bouquet I ever did see). What I loved about Kayla and her look on her big day, is that she looked amazing, but so effortlessly. I have never seen a bride have her hair redone because it was too neat, but Kayla did. Her messy tresses was her usual style and she looked every bit the stunning bride we had imagined!

The boys looked super suave in their rolled up sleeves and vests. Kayla’s late arrival to the ceremony didn’t have Luke worried, and when she arrived, his gaze was locked on her as she walked down the boardwalk with her Dad. The ceremony was performed by Di Ha and it was the perfect hot QLD day, with our harsh australian sun beating down on us. The ceremony was lovely and all the guests watched the couple say their I do’s.

Kayla and Luke had some amazing vendors help make their day extra special and Pretty My Love added a touch romance and vintage to the ceremony and the reception, which was held at Bustards Restaurant, Agnes Water.

More than anything, Kayla and Luke’s excitement in the lead up to their day, was what made it such a fabulous wedding to photograph. The couple are a relaxed, fun loving pair, who I have no doubt will have an amazing life together. They are lucky to be honeymooning in Bali, we hope you two have the time of your beautiful lives!

{Love x Two | Maternity Photography | Twins}

When Charlene told Shaun she was pregnant he couldn’t be happier! They’d been welcoming the idea of a baby for some time so the news really couldn’t have been any sweeter. That was until they found out they were expecting twins and the excitement was doubled! Being a twin herself, Charlene said she had hoped they were going to have twins and when the news was confirmed on the morning of her ultrasound she couldn’t be happier. “I phoned my sister and told her that i was about to find out that i will be having twins”. Charlene said her sister laughed and wished her luck. During the ultrasound the Sonographer asked Charlene if she was ready. “She turned the screen and hovered the ultrasound wand over one side of my belly and said “see that? That’s your baby”. Then she proceeded to the other side of my belly and said “and there’s the other one!” Charlene said at that moment she burst into tears and felt as though she was dreaming. “I rang Shaun immediately as i got outside the hospital doors and told him the good news”. As soon as she got off the phone Charlene said she then called her twin sister to share the exciting news. “I’m having twins” were her exact words. After a few back and forths Charlene said her sister finally believed her when she burst into tears! Both Charlene and Shaun could’t be happier and are so anxious to meet their two little ones very soon. We wish you guys well and hope the arrival of your two precious babies is as exciting as the morning you found out you were expecting them.
